Woman Cyclist Killed at Holborn Junction.

September death of a woman leads to questions of cyclist safety.

The death raises questions of cycle safety in the area, something that inholborn is committed to improve as more and more employees in the area are choosing to cycle to work in order to get fit, avoid the gruelling commute and to help the environment.
An article in the Evening Standard by Benedict Moore-Bridger covered the tragic incident, and reported that “In 2005, 20 cyclists were killed and 338 injured on London’s roads. In 2006, 18 were killed and 349 injured and last year 14 died and 253 were injured.”
By increasing awareness of cycle safety and monitoring issues such as anti-social cycling, unattentive or aggressive driving and traffic patterns, we hope to create in Holborn a safe and pleasant area for cyclists, pedestrians and motorists alike.
