Londoners Worst at Recycling in UK.

According to a recent article, Londoners recycle the least in the UK. Let's not let Holborn be part of that statistic!

According to a November 6th, 2008 news article in the Evening Standard,
"Londoners recycle the least amount of household waste in the country, governemnt figures shower today. Household recycling rates in the capital rose from 22.9 per cent last year to 25.5 per cent this year. But London lags behing the England average of 34.5 per cent, and well below the best performing area, the East Midlands, with its 41.9 per cent rate. London Councils said today that population density and high-rise blocks make recycling difficult."
With our new recycling scheme, we are trying to make recycling easier, cheaper and more accessible for businesses in the area. Let’s do our part to reverse this shameful statistic!
