We're Making High Holborn Glow!
The first phase of the new lighting installation we've been working on has been launched.
This is the product of ‘Window Stories’, a joint effort between inholborn and Jason Bruges studios to create an eye-catching, artful and meaningful display that will put Holborn on the map as a cultural destination as well as decorate our streets.
On Thursday the 6th of November we launched the installation with drinks and Starbucks coffee in a marquee set up on High Holborn with a great view of the first stage of this ambitious project. In addition to invited guests, many Holborn residents and employees joined us to celebrate the event, offer feedback on the project and take a night walk guided by Aly.
The response to the lights was very reassuring to us. People said that they enjoyed the Launch, that they thought the improved the general atmosphere of the area and that this is something they would like to have in their offices.
This is only the first step of the project. We hope to expand ‘Window Stories’ along a path to include more offices along Holborn. Not only are they adding to the aesthetic feel of the area and its cultural and artistic status, we hope that it will encourage businesses to turn off lights and save on energy.
Please let us know what you think about the project. Your imput is invaluable in our determining what our next steps are with this. If you would like your office to be part of this project please contact us at 020 7078 7077 or e-mail us at info@inholborn.org.
These lights aren't just pretty; they're energy-efficient, they tell a story and we hope they will draw attention to Holborn and unite it.
