Holborn Gateway redevelopment:

The pressure must remain on to get the green light for works at this dangerous junction.

Transport for London have run a modelling of the new design and found that after an hour it led to a cumulative queue effect that falls outside TfL, Camden Council; and The Holborn Partnership’s goals for enhanced pedestrian safety and maintenance of vehicle flow through the junction.

The works were provisionally due to be underway now, but as we stand the timings of the lights in the new design are being worked on with TfL and Camden Council’s consultants to produce a strategic solution to this problem. The Holborn Partnership are urging TfL to keep this progress up, having lobbied to get this project off the ground we are now pushing that it is kept in focus as a priority concern.
