History of the Holborn BID
How inholborn came to be
In 2004-2005 HBP undertook a campaign to hold a Business Improvement District (BID) ballot that would provide a sustainable future for its services. You can read about the services proposed for the Holborn BID by downloading the BID proposal. In February 2005 Camden Council’s Chief Executive, as returning officer for the council, announced that Holborn Business Partnership had been successful in its ballot enabling HBP to implement a Business Improvement District (BID) in Holborn (to see the ballot results click here). The successful ballot meant that on 1st April 2005 HBP became one of the first fully fledged Business Improvement Districts in the UK. The Holborn Partnership now represents over 450 businesses and occupiers in the commercial district of Holborn.
