Annual survey results

Currently this scheme is awaiting approval by Transport for London (a necessary step for any proposed changes to a ‘red route’) in London. There is no guarantee that the scheme will be approved however we would like to confirm our commitment to achieving improvement and will keep lobbying on behalf of the local community.

As part of this work, we are also seeking to reduce the amount of street clutter and obstructions outside the tube station such as free newspaper distributors. We have been gathering evidence of distributors creating obstructions and litter and have been using this to inform the Council’s work. The result is that there is now a good practice guide for the distributors to adhere to and the Council will have powers of enforcement from June 07.
